• shift from focusing only on factual content, towards integrating STEM tools such as critical problem-solving, cognitive flexibility, creativity, communication and negotiation, using both content and skills to generate solutions;
  • update some of their existing curriculum-linked units of work to incorporate inquiry-based approaches around STEM or project-based learning; and
  • integrate STEM approaches into their lessons, so that STEM is considered a ‘normal’ part of the school’s curriculum rather than a separate elective.
